Hi Robin, my iPhone 12 fell down and display isn’t working. Iplanet service center quotes 27k with 3 months warranty for display and one of the third party service centers from Velachery quotes 19k with 6months warranty.
Could you please assist which one to go for. Are both of these same in terms of quality and durability. Is it fine to go for third party display replacement? If so any legit service center suggestions in Chennai?
hello bro, Display replacement price is higher in authorised apple service centers. When it comes to battery I always suggest to consider apple authorised service centers to avoid any issues. original batteries. But for display I have seen friends changing it and using it normally. after 2 or 3 years some had issues like yellow tint around the borders. then we may have to change it again at same third party service center.
consider how many years you will be using it.
Around chennai you may check with iDot Repairs or iPick service center. Read both are doing decent job with display replacements if you are looking for third party options.
even 19K is higher price and I dont think its possible to repair and get original display outside apple service center. so if price wise its less or around 10K you may go with third party option bro. otherwise consider apple service center.
