A friend of mine recently transferred and things went well bro. didnt notice any missing photos or videos. my suggestion is to check backup status once more and verify the same. some meta data of photos may be different so the order of certain photos, videos may be placed first or last in the order. check that possibility too.
Else we have to delete and redo the steps to see if backup feature restores the data or not.

after confirming the transfer is completed, then you can delete the photos from source bro. in this case google photos.
