I’m planning to upgrade my iPhone XR 64 GB (Battery health-77%) to iPhone 15 256 GB (no trade-in). For offers I’ve enquired the official local store, they told HDFC credit card 5k cash back which lasts for 3 months. After that discounts may change.
But first I was planning to change XR battery after new iPhone 15 series launch (so battery price might drop), unfortunately it isn’t the case (costs 8.5k, expecting around 6k which is worthy to replace). 15 series battery price will get updated after a year right ? (as we’ve 1 year warranty)
As we’ve official store in India (Delhi, Mumbai), can I expect some new year-2024, pongal attractive offers, this time ?
shall I wait for it ? It isn’t urgent for me but comparing mine with 15 specs seems to be a worthier upgrade in my opinion. By the way, I’m getting tempted 
to purchase as soon as possible

hello bro, battery prices for all products increased recently, and I am not exactly sure whether it’s due to last budget or import duty reasons. You wont regret your purchase if you go with 15 models. They are real upgrade coming from XR model. for bigger battery and not to worry about battery at all, I suggest 15 Plus model. with best camera and bigger screen. it will be a joy to use it.
we cannot be sure how the battery pricing will be after 2.5 years. Based on manufacturing in india or imported, it will be decided. but depending on the model it will range from 8 to 13K. but dont worry about it right now. you are using it, get the best out of it. then we replace battery around 2.5 years on an average as you know.

But 15 plus in my opinion, feels little bigger on my hands.
Comparing 15 with XR, weight is 23 grams lesser which is a good plus point. moreover I’m planning this time for more storage (256GB, rather than base storage 64GB in last purchase) and new colour (green) other than boring universal colours (black, white) which I decided on last XR (white colour) purchase time. If I want to go for 15+ then 128GB model costs similar to 15 - 256GB variant, which I’m not quite interested with.
Which is your favourite colour in 15 and 15+ models bro ?
Shall I opt for 128 GB or 256 GB ? bro, Pls share your opinion
Planning to use more productive as well as casual apps and games than usual. As camera is 48 MP, file size may also increase gradually than before. so thinking what to choose

I’ve tried Standby Mode feature in XR, as it doesn’t have always on display, display turns off within 2-3 seconds, feels not a worthy feature for this model.
Is this effective only for pro models with always on display feature ? I’m having this doubt.
but in iPhone 15 I could see we can use it even though its not a always on display model by watching some YouTube videos, is it really true ? have you noticed or tried this feature bro ? -
I came to know from some YouTube videos that iPhone 15 series has battery cycle count feature enabled same as for MacBooks (Settings → General → About). Have you noticed it bro ? Seems like accurate battery related information made transparent to all iPhone users either from 15 series or from iOS 17.

From India site for iPhone 15, I got to know that we can use either 2 e-sims or 1 physical nano sim and 1 e-sim ? Looks like this has been enabled since iPhone 13 models. Have you tried using it bro ?

I am planning to go for Black 15 Plus this time. It looks good. storage is totally your personal choice bro. based on your budget and usage you have to decide. 128GB Storage is always sufficient for most users. bigger the storage better it is for long run.
I dont think there will be pongal offers. Diwali offers possible bro. last year also they announced some cashbacks specific to HDFC Cards.

Standby works well on always on display models. any touch on the table or nearby the phone will wake up the display. otherwise we cannot control it bro. Yes I have checked in my iPhone 12 which is my current phone and it works the same as in XR.

I am yet to get my 15 model, but as said in videos you have seen, yes it is a feature coming to 15 models.

you are correct about eSIM and physical sim usage. at a time only 2 sims can be active. whether its eSIM or physical sim combined.

5G does consume bit more battery power when in use. I recently had issues like low signal coverage and data not working issues, so switched to LTE mode completely. now its fine with jio.

There is a possibility for Product Red as its missing from the line up bro. but we cannnot hope for it right now. no leaks so far. sure will do as soon any leaks comes up.

Bro ig iPhone 15 will be available for a great deal in October month sale. I have budget ₹50,000 but i can afford extra couple thousands.
So my only problem is Nowadays in OLED display there are too many problems occurs with software updates like green screen or green line issuesz
All is well bro. IT is possible to see offers during BBD and Great indian festival sale bro. Green screen so far affected 13 models only. and apple service centers already providing free service or 2000Rs applecare+ claim like service process.
So dont worry about that. just make sure to take periodicaly backup of important photos, videos and data. that should be good.
