Macbook Air M1 display discolouration

Hi everyone,

About 5 months ago, I had my MacBook display replaced under AppleCare+. That coverage has now expired. 2
weeks back, while working, I suddenly noticed screen discolouration and ghosting effects.

I contacted Apple Support via chat, and they confirmed that it’s not a software issue. There’s been no physical, liquid, or any other kind of damage to the device from my side.

Has anyone faced a similar issue after a recent display replacement? I’m looking for suggestions on how to resolve this now that AppleCare+ is no longer active.

hi bro, sorry to know you are experiencing this issue. did apple support approves any free display replacement? mostly if its no damage caused by the user, after few calls and visit to service center it is possible to get free display replacement even for out of warranty or applecare+ ended products.

Such incidents of display issue or any other hardware defect is rare and we have to talk to apple support technician to get approval.
