I have bought my iPhone on 2024 feb it’s been a year and half am facing an screw rust issue I didn’t take apple care plus and my warrent also expired. I didn’t face any audio issue but day by day the rusting is increasing. Is it cause any issue.
Hi sis, Its an alarming issue. does the iPhone frequently gets contact with water? because rust wont happen easily due to the coating provided in the screw outer side. Even if we use it under water some times and clean it immediately after shoot for few minutes such rusting wont happen.
if the screw is rusted then service center could refuse the service or warranty claim in future for any defects.
As per my knowledge i didn’t used under water mostly weekly twrice I will clean my phone. Not sure how it’s rusting. Do we have any other option to fix this issue?
Do you use any liquid solution to clean the iPhone outside? like hand sanitizers or other solutions? just asking for clarity.
I have used display cleaner solution which consists of isopropyl alcohol I used to clean my previous iPhone 12 with that solution. that also I didn’t directly apply to my phone
Due to oxidation when some liquid contact happens we see such rust formation in the screw sis. This wont happen with isopropyl alcohol normally. the liquid we use to clean may not be good quality one, that is one possible reason here.
We may check with third party service center in future if any service required to see if the screws can be replaced with original ones.
Showing any signs of screws damage or removal will make apple service center to refuse service in future. when we go for battery replacement or for other issues.
So you can use it for now and avoid cleaning the iPhone with any type of liquid here after.
Just as a check up to know the possibility in future we can contact any third party service center.
