After replacing the iPhone battery not showing cycle count

I recently replaced the batteries on my iPhone 12 and iPhone XR at a third-party repair shop here in Sri Lanka. After the replacement, both phones show the battery status as “Unverified”, and the battery cycle count is not displayed in the settings.

I would like to know:

  1. Why does the iPhone show “Unverified” after a battery replacement from a third-party shop?

  2. Is there any way to make the cycle count visible again?

  3. Can this issue be fixed by third-party shops with the right tools, or is it only possible at Apple Authorized Service Providers?

  4. Does this affect the phone’s performance or just the battery health reporting?

Any detailed explanation or advice from those who have faced a similar situation would be really helpful.

  1. Display, Battery and other hardware components have unique serial numbers registered to the device logic board. so if there is any change in the spares it shows as unverified. if there is no issue you can continue using it bro.
  2. Service centers may temporarily fix that with their tools, but over software updates it will be fixed and again shows error message. normally service center technicians inform before changing battery or display spares.
  3. Do check with them once bro. once device serviced outside cannot be opened or serviced in apple service centers. as if there is any further issue they will be responsible. so apple service center refuses it.
  4. Sometimes it does and most of the times it wont. service centers take responsibility if there is any such issue happens bro. talk to them once again about it.
