Apple say that if you have AppleCare+ for Headphones, it offers replacement coverage if your AirPod or Charging Case battery holds less than 80 percent of its original capacity". So the thing is how do apple service centers measure whether it’s below 80% or not; They have any device for it or connect it with mac, something like that? or they would simply believe the words of customers and replace it with new one for free?. As they charge 2500 rupees for a broken one under apple care+ but battery degradation below 80% is free of charge. So any idea about it?
Hi bro, they do have diagnostics tools with them. but for airpods with applecare+ right now at the last week before warranty ends if we visit and say battery is draining faster and want to claim applecare+ then its possible to do the claim bro. no other checks or questions asked.
In RS puram showroom my friend gave airpods pro 2ng gen for claiming apple care plus coz of battery health but they took it for a whole to test it and gave him the replacement which was from bangalore but it took some time
- so will they always check airpods for a week then only conclude their decision or it’s not the case always?
- if they are providing free replacement for battery health below 80% then why some persons are just breaking it and paying the excess fee of Rs.2500 for replacement instead of trying this battery health method and not many youtubers talk about this method? is there any catch?
- Is it worthy to buy airpods pro 2 now or to wait till september 2025 for the apple to launch 3rd pro generation? will they launch it in 2025 or it’s for 2026?
hi bro, sometimes based on stock availability the time duration will be different. service center have to submit the airpods to claim or issue the airpods replacement to the customer.
as said in our video we can simply hand it over to service technician just a week before applecare+ ends and the technician will suggest whether its acceptable or need to see any damages. most cases simply we can say its battery drains faster and claim it.
there is no catch in this bro. both damage or battery issue can be claimed.
next gen airpods pro may come in september 2025, but we have to decide based on when we need it now. most latest features are working in airpods pro 2nd gen usb c model.
so if you need it now, you can goahead with airpods pro 2. if its not urgent and you have a proper headphone to use then you may wait for it bro.
okay, bro. Thank you.
