AirPods Usage with non-Apple product

Hi @iRobinPro,
I’m using Sony C310 Bluetooth headphones, while switching from one device to another (eg. from laptop to iPhone, iPhone to watch and vice-versa)
It is not getting connected immediately at random times (feeling irritated sometimes).
My purpose - connecting with iPhone, Watch, Mac and Windows laptop (for office purpose) mostly, rarely with Android mobile. Connectivity across devices must be smooth while switching

Can we use AirPods (or pro models) with Windows laptop (or even Android mobile) smoothly with no connectivity issues while switching from one device to another ?

What is the lifetime for AirPods and AirPods Pro ?
Is the lifetime of AirPods similar to any other third party Bluetooth devices ?

hello bro, with headphones other than airpods or airpods pro, we have to manually go to bluetooth settings and pair the headphone. If its airpods apple have implemented hand off feature, but with multiple device nearby we can use control center to connect the airpods quickly by pressing the bluetooth icon and selecting airpods.

But with apple watch it automatically connects mostly when you have paired it with iPhone. airpods is chosen by people mainly for its convenience.

airpods lifetime is 2.5 years to 3 years average.

getting applecare+ for airpods when we buy and if we damaged it by end of 2 years before warranty ends then we can get new airpods or airpods pro by paying service fee of 2500 to get new ones. that will give 2.5 years to 3 years average battery life.

if you dont want to spend much on airpods, you may manually try pairing sony headphone with your mac and iphone.

Ok bro, so you mean AirPods also works with smooth connectivity in windows laptop & Android mobile, correct ?

Oh, I forgot that windows or andorid requirement. other than apple products, airpods will work as regular bluetooth headset. So again you have to connect them manually just like we do sony with mac or iphone. so it may not be smooth experience with other platforms. we have to do it manually.
