Airtel WiFi calling stopped working after ios 16 update

WiFi calling was working quite good up to 16.4 update.
After the 16.4.1 update the WiFi calling has stopped working for Airtel sim.
Jio & Vi WiFi calls still work, but Airtel simply doesn’t work.
Tried putting the Airtel Sim in other Android phones and WiFi calling works fine for Airtel on those.
This issue is happening on two devices we have - iPhone 13 and iPhone Xr!

Any one else facing this issue?

Note: Same Airtel sim if i put on iPhone7 with ios 15, wifi calling is working.

hi bro, it could be temporary issue with airtel carrier firmware. usually fixed from airtel side. I have experienced it few times with jio too. then it automatically started to work. but due to calls issue, I keep the feature OFF.

try performing network settings reset once, then try with same sim card. also if the SIM Card is older than 2 years, then changing sim card to new one by visiting showroom also helps. they provide new sim with same number.

Thanks for your reply bro. I have already tried the steps you mentioned but still no luck.
I checked with my friends, they are also experienced same.
Airtel la case raise pannen bro, but no proper response from them.

Update: if i turn off VoLTE toggle button, then Wifi calling working fine.

Can you please test with your iphone or inform friends to test and confirm.

Sure bro. I am using jio only. switched from airtel few years ago as I had several coverage usage in my city. I will check with my contacts and update bro.

Bro… Did you get a chance to test? For me Airtel indoor signal very poor bro because of this i am using wiFi calling. Planning to port other network after your confirmation :slightly_smiling_face:.

Checked with a friend using airtel bro, and he keeps the setting OFF as he also had similar issue once. in his area airtel provides good coverage, but wifi calling seems to cause some issue when he connected to jio network. so he kept it off. It is recommended to port to a network that provides good coverage in your area. check with jio sim card once before moving. that will help.
