Without the iPhone for walking. Can I receive calls or make calls through AirPods. Means my iPhone will be at home. Calls not through speaker of Apple Watch. Through AirPods. Please clarify this point
hello bro, I have tested it before and just tested it again with my airpods pro 1st gen and apple watch ultra. after turning off my iPhone, I made a call from my apple watch and it works perfectly. So without iPhone nearby, when my cellular is active and I have signal means, I should be able to make or receive a phone call in my apple watch connected with airpods.
No problem with it.

Though the price difference is not too high , better to pick it up in india so the gsm problem doesn’t arise

I use apple watch ultra bought from USA.
So far no issues in cellular connectivity for calls and online music via watch (Of course AirPods also will work with watch alone without iPhone).
So you can buy it anywhere in the world without considering apple’s disclaimer.

UAE and US watches are mostly here in my friends circle without any issues too. You may consider those.

I got Apple Watch SE 2 cellular and AirPods Pro 2 from UAE. Have been using it from 28th Dec 2022… it’s working fine. Yes , we can attend calls using AirPods Pro with Apple Watch SE cellular
