Clarification on Replacement iPhone Serial Number & Box

Hello bro!,

Hope you’re doing well! It’s been almost two years since we last connected, and I’ve come up with a new doubt.

Recently, my iPhone 15 Pro was completely damaged, and I submitted it to an authorized service center in Chennai on 24-09-2025. Since my device was under AppleCare+ protection, they informed me that it would be replaced with a new device having a different serial number and IMEI.

Today (04-10-2025), I collected the replacement device. However, it was provided without a retail box. I still have the old iPhone box, but since the new device has a different serial number, I’m worried that in case I decide to sell it in the future, the mismatch between the serial number on the box and the device might lower its resale value.

As I’m completely new to this situation, I’d appreciate your guidance on how this usually works and what I should consider.

Thanks & Regards,
Yogeshwaran I

I am good bro. thank you. hoping you too.:folded_hands:t2: Nice to chat again. the replacement unit normally dont come with box or accessories. but it wont affect the resale value as per my understanding. The left over warranty is carried to the new device. so its like a new iPhone you got as a replacement.

If its a known contact you can inform that its a replacement device. if its shop or seller, they know when they check and it wont be an issue. its normally sold in market and people are buying them too.
