Forgot apple id password, can't reset because of recovery key that I don't know. Help please

Hi friends, i forgot apple id password. When I try to reset it sends a verification code to my number. After I entered, it asks for recovery key which is 28 digit. What’s pathetic is i don’t have or know any recovery key.

Searched in Google how to know that. Through password & security/ signin section we can configure rk. But when I click them it’s asking for a password which I forgot :pensive:

My current situation is I can’t come out of that apple id & my iPad is asking password for every clicks. Expecting a help, thanks in advance

Hello bro, did you try resetting the password through iforgot.apple.com ? Normally users dont setup recovery key, were you using any hardware key setup before?

From the steps explained in apple website, it again needs password to reset recovery key bro.

To replace lost recovery key above steps can be followed.

Do talk to apple support once bro. or visit apple service center with bill copy of your iPhone to prove you are the owner of the device. It may take 20 days minimum time to verify manually and recover your account. But thats the only way.

Apple have strict policies in place to prevent account theft.
