In a poll conducted in this community, 20% of users voted they were undergoing green screen issue. Does it really mean 1 in 5 users will face this issue? But in comments, Robin bro you have said it’s rare event. So how much percentage devices undergo this issue as a rough estimate
hi bro, during iOS 16.1 and 16.2 around I have seen more people reported the green screen issue. after that, iOS 17.1 after again seeing more users reporting same problem. Two of my friends using iPhone 13 Pro models havent faced such issue so far. its working perfect for them so far.
Even if it happens after few months, they can still get free screen replacement when there is no physical damage or internal damage on the device.
I would say the percentage is alarming enough for apple to consider announcing a replacement program officially soon.
That will be a big relief for people experiencing similar issue in future.

@iRobinPro Planning to upgrade my iPhone XR this year (2024), but issues or problem like this in new model makes me afraid of upgrading to new phone

@PraveenProgrammer Spending lots of money and having to deal with these kind of issues is not pleasant. More worrying thing is Apple not recognizing this issue officially and not doing anything to fix it. We are at the mercy of finding the right service center and the technicians agreeing this as an apple issue and can’t find anything to blame us for mishandling the device.
One thing I am confident with apple is after sales service bro. I remember replacing my iPhone 5S when there was sim issue just 1 day before warranty. they replaced it without any questions. since then I had to replace my airpods once intentionally. with applecare+.
But I can follow up and read many users confirming they can replace without warranty if green screen issue appears on their device.
for any electronic device we purchase, in such incidents, important thing is we get good after sales service. Apple have good history and they are messing up with this green screen issue recently.
Hoping for a fix from apple side by launching a repair program very soon. It will give peace of mind.
