But if i block it once and go back to message, it unblocks itself. Anyway i can block it or get rid of the messages
hi bro, airtel and jio both have this spam problem of their services. do talk to airtel customer support once. its not easy to block from ourside as they send from different names in suffix or prefix to send those ads sms. activate DND to your number and ask airtel support to opt out from those promotional sms services too.

Called them,they are not super usefull. But fortunately or unfortunately found out that there is another number linked with my profile.
I had an old number 2012/13. Which i stopped using before 2015. And today i found out that someone is using the same number and the number is in my name. IDK how is that possible. Airtel guy’s says “we can’t do anything”, Fuc*ing morons can’t do anything about anything.
So if the person who has my sim (god knows how they got it, I cut the sim in 2 and discarded it in garbage) misused it. Will the the great airtel corporation accept responsibility for this, As far as i know old numbers tends to get reused- but the number is supposed to be registered with new adhaar card.
Is there any way to delete my link with that number
Thats disappointing bro. some front end customer support person may not aware about the process. is it possible to visit nearest airtel showroom once? so someone can help with delinking your old number from your airtel account.
They may have got the sim card with aadhaar verification, but it may be still mapped to your airtel account. so removing from airtel account alone will help I think bro.
is DND active for your primary number? the one you are using right now? is it new sim by any chance?
I tried trai website bro - it shows no such number is linked to my account
Primary Number is bsnl and I’ve activated full dnd, but still getting messages
Then you have to seek airtel support only to remove the number associated in your airtel account bro. try reaching out to https://x.com/airtel_presence
They respond bit faster usually.
Normally after activating DND in 2 weeks mostly we will see such messages getting stopped bro. give a week more time and see if that helps.

As you can see i can’t stop this message- even though full dnd is active. Can’t block the sender on my iPhone.
So i gave up and installed the app - but apart from few lame shows it’s asking me for subscription
Airtel and Jio both doing the same thing bro. every week or month they push such cross promotional activities to push their other services. its only possible to stop from network side. I wish some one takes it to consumer court and TRAI for legal proceedings soon for networks force fully advertising and spamming its users.
meanwhile, if you have already informed airtel customer care, then we have to wait for sometime.
They have tortured me to install - airtel xtream saying i have 20+ ott for “FREE” - but if i click something i want to watch - it says “upgrade to watch” - what kind off practice is it, and i don’t know why they’re advertising as such
Airtel is the worst in handling marketing communications bro. We dont have any perfect network at present. Jio also sends unwanted messages and when I contacted them no help. just managing by ignoring those messages most of the time. airtel is bit strong with their messaging it seems.
