If I am sharing any file over iCloud Drive to 3rd party users with read/ write access why it is asking Apple ID for them to access the files …?
Hi Bro, iCloud Drive cannot be used like Google Drive for Public File sharing. Even though it is set to Anyone with Link can view, people still need to authenticate with their Apple ID to attach that folder to their apple account to view those files or to edit them.
That keeps the log of who is accessing the folders.
For public folder sharing, we still have to use Google Drive or other cloud storage services as suggested in this episode.
