IOS 18.7.10 ruined my iPhone XS Max

Hello Robin Ji,

I recently updated my iPhone XS Max to the latest version 18.7.10. After the upgrade, the Face ID was not working properly and the battery was draining very fast. The battery backup is not holding for half a day either. I performed a factory reset several times but the Face ID is still not working with the error “Face ID is not available, try again later when iPhone cools down”. I tried keeping the phone idle for several days but the issue persists. The battery backup is also very poor and does not last for half a day, with the highest consumption of “Home and Lock screen”.

Have you encountered any similar issues? I restored the iOS from a Mac by downloading it from the ipsw.me website but the problem persisted. My phone was working smoothly with 18.7.9 without any issues. Do you know any solution for this problem?

hi bro, face id not available error is not specific to software issue bro. if there are any recent physical drop or water contact happened, then we may see such face id not available error.

Whats the current battery health percentage of the device? do check inside settings - battery - battery health page and let me know bro.

hi ji, the phone was working well, including the face id with 18.7.9. Immediately after upgrading to 18.7.10, Face ID stopped working. The battery health is 95%, as i replaced the battery 6 months ago.
