Hi, I’m using iPhone 13 for last 6 months. I had 99%battery percent till 2weeks back. 2 weeks back I updated to ios16.5, when I updated battery becomes 98%. I thought it was usual. After one week it becimes 97% and now within a week it is 96%. Is there any official news from apple side regarding this? Also after update I’m facing fast battery drain and over heating issue.
hello bro, there is no information from apple side about it. But in general, we may notice such sudden battery health reduce over period of months on some devices. for some users it may maintain in 100%, but in the background cycle count will keep on increasing based on their usage and charging pattern as suggested in the following episode.
1% a month is an average. some months it wont reduce. overall we get 2.5 years average time to reach 80% battery health.
Just like our car and bike batteries, these phone batteries also reduce in performance when they reach certain percentage of health. which apple set it as 80% and then we change battery at apple service center.
Continue following the charging practice bro. and it will be maintained. Regarding over heating issue, it will be fixed when you perform “settings - general - reset - reset all settings”.
Current summer season and increased room temperature are the main reason for noticing such heating during fast charging and when we use it takes time to reduce the heating up.
Thank you bro. I’m already following charging practice and also I have did all setting reset as you mentioned in you ios16.5 follow up video. However I’m facing it still.
do you see over heating even in AC rooms or with normal usage bro?
Not in AC rooms. But outside I’m facing heating issue even with normal usage.
Yes bro. current summer season is like that. heats up devices and takes time to cool down. it wont affect phone or battery inside. only if you see temperature warning then its a problem. then you can do iOS Restore once and see whether it fixes or not. you can visit apple service center once to do the same.
