My friend’s iphone 13 display blacked out last night. As per his memory, he is yet to update the iphone iOS 18.

hello bro, its recommended to visit nearest apple service center. if the device had any internal damage or physical damage being the reason has to be checked here. If the display turned green color then we can get it replaced at apple service center when there is no damage found.
Issue is nto connected to iOS 17 or iOS 18 software update, the important thing here is, if there is any internal display cable issue then this could have happened.
So visiting service center is the only solution to fix it bro.
