Whenever I open the camera, the quality looks fine, but after capturing the picture, it turns out terrible. The picture has a grainy and noisy appearance even in good lighting. When I compare the iPhone 12’s front camera with the iPhone 15, the better quality comes from the iPhone 12. I don’t know what it is, but it seems like **Apple may have compromised the front camera quality this time.

Got it bro. its happening due to processing of smart HDR feature. we cannot turn it off unfortunately. but try this method once.
Swipe up and tap on + or - symbol. then adjust exposure setting. increase it to 0.3 just one step above.
Now take a photo and see if the brightness on face is normal in same lighting condition.
Let me know if the darker tone is reduced or not this way.
Note: You may remove the Google Drive folder for privacy reasons.

Got it bro. in that case we have to use third party camera apps to take selfies alone. for rear camera you can continue using the default camera app. but for selfie try this app.
Till apple fixes this in upcoming major update. Already several users submitted feedback for the same bro. hoping the fixes to arrive through updates.
