I recently updated to 18.1, I noticed that my battery is draining when my phone is turned off overnight, yesterday night my battery was at 48% then turned off my phone and slept, morning I saw it was at 40%, is this an issue?
And a small query bro when and how does optimised battery charging work?

Good morning bro, being the new major release of iOS 18 update, it will run some background optimisation bro. according to our usage and we will see improvement in 3 to 4 days time.
if network coverage issue there in our area, then upto 10% reduce is normal. do you have full signal coverage in the area you are in?

Okay bro thank you so much, my network coverage is good in my home bro, recently after 18.1 update only it’s happening like this before battery wasn’t reducing even when phone was off, as you said will see bro if it gets rectified after few days
such network conditions differ between each city area in different days bro. some time it will be searching for signal and somedays it will be good. check if you are getting full signal coverage overnight or 2 ro 3 points.
also for new major software update we do see such background optimisation running in the background. so its totally normal someday we see upto 10% or around drain and it willl reduce in upcoming days. you wont see such more reduce every night unless there are apps or services actually using it in the background.
like home or lock screen widgets if enabled consume some battery power even when display is off to update the widget. not all the widget, just some widgets like weather and any data needs to be updated in some widget.
So check above possibilities and observe for atleast 4 to 5 days and see bro.
