recently bought iPhone 15 plus and I am using a proper 20w apple charger but it’s overheating while charging.i will charge at 20 per until it’s reaching 80per the temperature is high after reaching the 80 per it’s gradually decreasing.idk what precaution I want to take…
Hi bro, during fast charging we do notice such heating. but its automatically managed at software level. when the system detects around 35 degrees temperature we see temperature warning message. that is a problem.
make sure you have updated to latest iOS version. as overheating problems fixed with latest updates.
continue using 20W adapter and original or branded USB C to USB C cable. also charging speed reduced when it detects overheating.
If the issue continuous after latest software update, then try these troubleshooting steps.
-
perform settings - general - reset - reset all settings once. then observe for two to three days how the heating level while charging. avoid using the device while charging that can cause overheating too.
-
taking it to service center and they will do iOS Restore once. that will fix the problem. But make sure to take backup of important data.
Let me know after a week usage how the overall heating problem is.
