Hi bro, my iPhone 13 does not automatically play 4K format videos on YouTube even after changing video playing preferences setting to higher quality in WiFi and mobile data. Max it plays only In 720p format, every time I have to manually change the video quality to 4K to watch 4K contents. Is there any way to play 4K contents automatically when connected to WiFi.
hi bro, iPhone 13 display is close to 2K resolution 2532×1170. But the app takes control of the resolution of video playback based on our network connection strength. Even if we connected to high speed wifi connection, sometimes youtube app switches automatically to lower resolution. Play the video for 2 to 3 minutes and it will automatically switch to 4K or higher resolution when it detects high speed internet connectivity.
Sharing this based on my observation. Just tested the video playback in my iPhone 15 Pro Max and youtube app.
