My iPhone XS Max battery health is reduced to 82%. I visited iCare and iPlanet for battery replacement. iCare quoted Rs. 7200/- and iPlanet Rs. 11000/-. What is the difference? Is is worth replacing the iPhone XS Max battery now?
hi bro, is iCare authorised apple service center? if yes you may proceed with the replacement. normally third party service center costs half from what apple service center charges. If you are planning for an upgrade, then its not good idea to replace battery now. next month we may see good offers on 14 models.
so if budget allows you may upgrade to newer model bro.
Thank you for the suggestions ji. Yes, iCare is one of the Apple authorized service center in Bengaluru but they said battery not available currently. It has to be shipped from Apple and may take more than 10days that too not sure.
i am using iPhone 14 Pro Max as my daily driver. iPhone XS Max is my standby phone.
as a secondary device you may continue using it after changing battery bro. go for any cheaper option in that case, but original battery avoids any issues in future. only for battery I suggest to go with apple service center authorised option.
for any other spares that apple service center charges too much or higher, we may consider third party option.
So if you are not going to upgrade the device then going with battery change will be good choice. otherwise selling and upgrading the device will be smart idea instead of changing the battery.
I replaced the battery from iPlanet. I don’t want to upgrade my secondary device for at least the next 3yrs and I am happy with the iPhone Xs Max performance. It has everything except 5G support which is not a big deal for me.

How much price for battery replacement for your iPhone XS max?
I went with Apple authorized service center iPlanet and they charged Rs.11000/- along with speaker replacement. iFixit can replace the battery for Rs.4500/- including the calibration. I went with Apple Authorised service center due to the water resistance capability. If you replace the battery outside, the phone will loose the water resistance capability.

However, to get the exact price, you may reach out to the nearest Apple-authorized service centre if you decide to go with them. Otherwise, there are many 3rd party service centres available and a minimum 50% cost difference will be there. @iRobinPro ji is the right person to suggest to you.
