I need to install blender in mac, for that I am going to buy mac mini m2 8 gb 256 gb SSD variant. Is that enough for working with 3d modelling using blender or i have to select mac mini m2 16 gb 256 gb SSD?? Kindly help to choose good variant. I will also use Photoshop.
hi bro, blender can run but depending on the project you run the resources will not be sufficient. users who want to run blender normally go with custom configuration with budget around 2 lac segment. Macbook Pro with Pro or Max series processor for more CPU and GPU cores with 16GB+ RAM memory bro.
Such models automatically comes with 512GB or 1TB SSD. so 3D projects can run and store files that needs bigger storage space.
My suggestion is to consider 14 inch or 16 inch macbook pro. you can see in official website the recommended mac configuration is set to 32GB RAM.

Thank you bro. Actually I use blender for creating 3d models and convert it for printing 3d objects. This is my prime usage. Then little bit of video editing. My budget is around 70k only. I can afford either mac mini m2 8gb 256 SSD or 8gb 512 SSD. Is this two models fit for my usage that is for creating 3d model only for printing 3d objects using 3d printer.

I understand bro. budget is the problem here. many blender users have higher specs normally. they dont go for base models. Processor + GPU is the important factor here. mac mini or macbook they opt for M Pro chip sets atleast. some go for max chipset for better 3d rendering with their projects.
did you check with any friends or colleagues using macbook? what specs they have?

Thanks a lot bro. My friend is using hp i5 processor 8gb ram without graphics. But the blender is running smoothly in his pc he is telling. He is creating 3d models and printing in 3d printer. My question if it runs smoothly in i5 without GPU then why in apple m2 chip??

its a big investment bro. so I would suggest you to consider checking with any user used macbook base model for blender once. as I mentioned before, the requirements in blender website itself needs better specs.
you can see that in this reddit discussion one user mentioned its running fine one his older macbook.
another user highlighted that he uses m2 Max chipset and it runs good but rendering is better on his 3090 equipped PC. Desktops always have more powerful GPU and CPU at similar cost.
Most of the people suggest 16GB RAM and Pro or Max chipset bro. Else check the PC options. suitable graphics card with CPU and RAM you can use to get a custom laptop or PC with similar price range.
