happening for any jpeg files or specfici files bro? can you try downloading any jpg image from google search and open it? do attach screenshot of the error.

I have copied jpg files from pen drive to documents folder of macOS finder. When I click on the file it’s telling preview can’t open the jpg file since it is not in accepted file format.

Problem could be related to the specific files bro. try downloading any jpg file from google image search, if thats working with preview app then you have no problemw ith macOS. the files available in pen drive must be encoded with different file formats and still showing JPG extension. That is not supported in macOS.

Without knowing what type of files they are encoded with, it is not possible to suggest any third party image viewer apps.

Alternatively. you may try uploading those files to your Google Photos Album, and see whether google can render and preview those files.

Actually, what I had done was I had taken photos using a Vivo phone camera and copied into my LENOVA laptop. it was copied as jpg format. after copying into my pen drive and copied it to my MacBook Air m1. when I clicked it in my Mac it is not accepting. the same objects I had taken it in my iPhone 6s in the same jpg format copied it in Mac it is showing in preview app. why android jpg will not be accepted in Mac ?

Only if vivo camera app uses any different encoding, such problem could happen. otherwise any android shot photos and videos are viewable normally in mac computers. Do try shooting a small video clip using the same phone and transfer it to mac and check too bro. it may give better idea.

Ok thank you Bro, I will try and report it backstop you.

Sorry it’s “back to you”.

I have tried with the same vivo android phone took some other photos uploaded into windows laptop, copied into MacBook Air and it’s showing the jpg files in preview app. Why previous photos didn’t come, I don’t know. One more thing, can we connect directly an android phone to MacBook to copy files ? Will it accept ?

Problem could be that specific photos shot with different features of vivo app may be. possible it is not rendering in macOS, sir. For such cases, you may use the method like uploading the photos to google photos and accessing them on your mac.

Apps like Airdrop (paid app) will allow us to sync wired or wirelessly and transfer data to our mac.

Free app like android file transfer can be used, but its bit buggy and sometime crashes. but you may give it a try sir Android File Transfer

we can use wireless file transfer sites like snapdrop.net.
