Last 3 digit number not finding the contacts

Hi community members and irobinpro,

I am gifting iPhone to my dad, he always know last three digit number of the person, for eg if number ends with 828, he put the 828, it not showing that contact in dail pad, but if I check first three or middle three number which is showing in dail pad itself.

Any suggestions or help ASAP
