Just got the apple watch series 10 46mm bro using it for about 4 days and tweaked some settings for battery saving without compromising much. In workout there is an option to put it on low power mode and there’s another toggle that says reduce heart rate monitor and some functions I mean the frequency would change. I mostly use my watch for walk and strength training so should i turn on low power mode during workout only or turn less heart rate monitoring feature too or shouldn’t turn these both on? I don’t how much the calculation would differ with low power on and without low power on and how much battery it’d save. And usually i turn off bluetooth and wifi and location services while going to sleep so it’s a good practice right? yet the battery is draining due to the wrist detection I think
congrats on your new apple watch. you can use low power mode only when you travel and wont be able to charge soon bro. as it supports fast charging, connecting to charger just 30 mins a day is more than enough to use it normally.
low power mode does help saving battery, you can use it whenever needed. but its designed to times like these where we wont be able to charge during travel or other times.
no need to do more optimization as its new watch. you can test it yourself for one or two weeks how the battery lasts with your current setup. then leave the bluetooth ON for two weeks and observe how the drain happens.
You can turn off always on display feature, raise to wake feature if you dont like the display to turn on automatically when you raise your wrist to see time. and see how it works.
normally new apple watch models with default setting gives 2 to 2.5 days battery backup.
Yesterday I faced something weird bro my battery was at 25% then within 4 minutes it went to 19% then suddenly 16% so panicked and restarted the watch then after restart it went from 16 to 13% I was confused then turned off and put the watch on charger now it’s fine but idk why it happened tho and another question is why apple gave that feature of putting on low power mode automatically while workout starts and can also enable fewer bpm checking options. Have u enabled it and used the watch? or ur friends? I just wanna know the accuracy of data. My watch is definitely not giving battery backup for 2 days it’s 1.5 days even after turning background refresh, don’t have SIM as of now, bluetooth off, wifi off, siri “Raise to speak” is only on, location servies are off, apple analytics are off. Idk What I’m doing wrong why that sudden drop happened yesterday
Such battery fluctuations are not normal bro. observe for one or two weeks. just charge the watch when it reaches 20% around or whenever you have time.
I rarely use low power mode bro. when I cannot charge for next few hours and batter reaches 30% or below. otherwise its normal mode only.
data will still be accurate if you see workout app running normally. as it uses the sensors to read and record.
its new apple watch and you see 1 year warranty status correctly in iPhone ??
If we use the watch for attending calls then battery drain happens bit faster. otherwise it should cross that 2 days mark. wait for next week WatchOS 26.4 release. give 3 to 4 days after and see if you notice improvement or not.
