if the apps or softwares you use requires Windows OS then its must to consider a proper windows laptop within that budget bro. If you are ok with MacOS and no windows specific app requirement then mac will be best buy for every day productivity usage.
M1 or M2 macbook models will be good choice. with student discounts you may consider it.
