MacBook Pro 13" M2, gray bar middle of the screen

Hi bro, Ahilan from Sri Lanka, I am using MacBook Pro 13" M2 more than one year. Very recently I noticed (it’s very blurred) there is a grayed bar about two inch width (see the attached image), middle of the screen. No idea how to rectify this issue. Is this hardware related issue/any software related? Also not any physical damage/accident.

Hello Ahilan, this could be display hardware related problem. when some pressure applied on the laptop when its on bag, usually such minor damage happens internally.

If its not bothering much while working, you may continue using it bro. else display change will be required. quite expensive at apple service center as its latest model.

But I assume the device is still under warranty. So do check once with apple service center so if they can provide any free service options it will be good. In rare cases, that free option could happen. Else we have to pay if its physical damage or not considered as defect.

Greetings, brother, many thanks for your insightful counsel. Indeed, as you mentioned, it doesn’t really annoy me, and it doesn’t show up on a white background. only has visibility against a gray or black background. Yes, I am aware that replacing a screen might be costly. It is also not covered by a warranty.
