Hey, guys! I’m planning to buy 16 pro in this Big billion day sale If they give exchange offer for my 11 pro. This 11 pro is the GOAT I mean what a battery life at this form factor I like small handy phone so far no issues Using for 5 years but just planning to upgrade So I need the review of 16 pro users as many as possible especially regarding battery life SOT and heating. Mostly battery standby is my main concern 11 pro has 3140 mah 16 pro has 3560 mah is this subtle difference enough for me? I mostly use alot instagram phone addict so currently I’m charging my 11 pro twice a day having battery health of 77%. When i used my friend’s 16 pro on IOS 18.5 my dream of buying a 16 pro literally shattered I would say I mean after using the camera for mere 30 minutes the phone became too over heat like it’s on top of a burner or something. the camera stuttered alot after that then said use camera later coz temperature is very high n all I was literally too disappointed with a phone that costs more than a lakh I mean come on If a phone costs that much then it should be optimised perfectly to handle these right even if we cope camera usage brings heat that shouldn’t be case with this flagship product right? and the photo was not even upto the mark that s24 ultra would easily surpass it. But i want to be in this apple ecosystem and so how is cellular reception, heating and mainly the battery life for regular usage SOT. So i need review of as many as possible in this thread and need a word of @iRobinPro . Ik I can go with 17 But I want the pro camera system.
hi bro, with 16 series when we use high res recording options we do notice such heating. it depends on the resolution and framerate we set too.
But the heat is managed internally and you wont see temperature warning that easily. to address that issue apple brought vapour chamber cooling with 17 pro series.
iPhone 17 has good camera system and the only thing we will miss is telephoto lens. all other features will match if you wont use zoom feature much.

Bro I was just taking potrait pictures that’s it not even video but it showed me high temp warning and seeing it in 1000$ dollar phone even I couldn’t believe my eyes even my 11 pro did well. yes I want the telephoto lens that’s why preferring 16 pro and 17 pro is double the price but battery SOT is my only concern mostly coz I’m following each and every steps of ur videos and turn off location services mostly. The hastle of turning it on and off is so frustrating that’s why i wanted a phone that I shouldn’t have to do these to use on daily basis n lasts a day. IDK how much location drains and IDK why apple is not giving a simple option to turn it on off like android just in control center. While driving it’s too frustrating to do that. thats really bad bro. Initially with IOS 18 updates my friend using 16 pro had such issue. but recent days he is not seeing it during photos and even videos usage. mostly he takes photos and few videos only. it heats up during 4K recording but no temperature warning shown.
Suggest your friend to do all settings reset once. make sure iOS updated to latest version. that could help notice some difference too.
any camera system even DSLRs have this heating issue when high res or recorded outside bro. being a pro camera system iPhone is not an exception unfortunately. thats what I understood after talking with few photographers in my crowd.
you could wait and see 17 pro series reviews and its camera usage, heating performance then decide accordingly.
