Bro in ios 16 I used custom notification tone for ringtone and sms or text tone or iMessage like importing them with garageband app with that I customised ringtones as for ringtone and for sms one but apart from apples standard ringtone I imported voice of my mum and kept it as sms tone or test tone and after updating to ios 17 yes those customised tone which I earlier imported are still in there in ringtone section but not in the message section or text tone section thats so socking, but they existed till I manually changed them it was my customised tone after updating ios 17 but after getting into to check or change the tone those customisation are all gone for messages so thought of asking you bro
hi bro, some family emergencies so I was unable to come online. Looks like iOS 17 updated its Text Tone custom options. Can you try copy pasting the same ringtones once again to your device via iTunes or via Garageband? the same .m4r files backup available?
No bro its not working, I had tried importing the way you said earlier. Suddenly after realising this concern but nothing works, the tone gets added in ringtone section but no changes in text tone, I even went to the extreme of degrading to ios 16 and the changing it to the tune i wished for after that upgrading to ios 17 so that the text tone remains untouched so i can continue with the tone i wished for but its too risky and there is no hope so added it to waiting list as the last resort to use
Can you try this process instead if you have you service phone degrading to ios 16 and keeping the text tone unchanged and then upgrading to ios 17 so that the tone remains!
Even if you have any other ideas tell me bro! I badly need the text tone customised​:sob:
I havent used text tone before bro. But I do get what you mean. I am using some custom ringtones. I have updated to iOS 17 beta and currently using only one phone which is iPhone 12 as my daily driver. Going to get iPhone 15 model havent decided which one yet.
Do give me sometime I will check and update you on this bro. Whether this can be fixed or apple completely removed the option for us from setting up text tone here after.
The above column of None shows that there is still possibility.
May be as an experiment, time difference could have been forced. Like for ringtone we have 40 seconds below limit. similarly text tones may be following less seconds, like 10 or 20 may be. trying such modified tone and moving it may help too.
Will try them this week once I reached my office and let you know.

I have even tried that IMazing software for iphone via PC for importing ringtones and backup but it also in vein

And bro, that personal voice in ios 17 is taking more the expected to complete, i done those recordings 4 days before but still haven’t notified. when will my personal voice gets ready still say preparing…0%

Definitely bro.
Apple added personal voice support bit late during the beta testing. So I think its also available in India region. Currently works only with english as you know. 15 minutes approximately it takes to record the notes and processes it. I havent tried it yet will check that and see whether it works or not bro.

Hi bro, Apple fixed Custom Text Tone in iOS 17.1 Developer Beta. You can verify it in today’s episode.
