USA device shouldnt be the problem bro. I am using German unit and it depends on the iOS version we are using. running iOS 18.1 beta and the landscape mode works only when I am inside safari or other landscape mode supported apps or video playback.
Give a week more time, once iOS 18.1 update comes officially, then check how it works bro.
