I have stored many of photos & videos on my Mac book, recently I tried to share some photos from MacBook to iPhone via airdrop… the quality of videos nd photos has been compressed in iPhone… original quality remains in only sender device(Mac)…but from iPhone to Mac sharing means its share the same resolution… I want a solution fr this
hi bro, I just send a photo from my mac studio to iPhone and the file didnt get compressed. Which file format you were trying to send bro? can you send just one file to iPhone and compare the size in MB? if its 3 to 4 KB reduce in size it shouldnt be a problem. more than that, it will be an issue. kindly check and let me know bro.
We do have one setting at iPhone side. go to settings - apps - photos and scroll to the bottom under transfer to mac or pc, select Keep Originals bro.
Now try to transfer a file from mac to iPhone via airdrop.
This setting meant for iPhone to other device, but lets try this change as we dont have any other option available.
Try with different photo or file from mac to iPhone after changing this setting.
@iRobinPro bro I got a conclusion on support side… that the only iphone pictures are been compressed by sharing from macos to ios…i shared some other photos that captured from samsung devices nd oppo device those pictures are not compress while airdrop from mac to iphone…only iphone pictures are compressed…they said u have to use i cloud fr this problem…air drop will definitely compress a little bit
Yes bro. its confirmed that through this airdrop method of transfer, we will see such compression. no way to bypass this. I will do some more research to find alternative methods to do it wirelessly.
Right now wired method is the only way to avoid huge compression. or iCloud, Google Drive type of file transfer method.
