While logging in to a website using Safari browser, User Name and Password that were saved already will get popped up. After the iOS 17 update, it’s not working. I need to enter user name and paired manually. How to activate it?
hello bro, when you tap on the username field it will show the passwords saved already. if not, do perform “settings - general - reset - reset all settings” once. then reset safari settings by going inside settings- safari page.
Let me know after that it works or not.
Hello Robin bro, sorry for the late reply. I tried resetting all the settings and Safari settings as well. Neither worked. .
ok bro, is the iOS 17 updated to latest version? 17.0.3?
Yes sir. It all started after updating to iOS 17. It didn’t rectify even after updating to 17.0.1 and 17.0.3.
Possibly a bug. this is the first report and I am hearing about safari passwords not working bro. Its working normally in my iPhone 12 running iOS 17.0.3 and iPhone 15 Plus running iOS 17.1 beta version.
As we already tried all settings reset, can you check once by searching within settings app for “passwords & keychain” whether icloud sync is enabled for passwords and keychain access?
Checked keychain also brother. Still problem persists. Seems like a bug as you said. Let me wait for next update.
Usually all settings reset should have helped fixing it bro. so strange. I checked with 2 of my friends and they have no issues using passwords feature. My 1Password third party app though not properly synced and working and I am waiting for 1password update to make it work.
24th october we will receive 17.1 do update and check after that bro.
Okay sir. Let’s wait for the update. Thanks for your concerns.
