Upgrade from iPhone XR to 16 Pro Max or iPhone 17?

I’ve been using iPhone XR for some years and the battery has weakened and my phone has lots of issues, so I’m looking for an upgrade and I want to know if I should get 16 pro max or should I have to wait for 17 series and I will most probably buy in USA, will it work fine in India?

Hi, from iPhone XR 16 pro max is a huge upgrade. only if you can manage with XR for next 7 months then you may consider waiting for 17 series. otherwise considering any 16 model according to your needs and budget will be good choice.

USA models comes with eSIM only option, so if in india or other countries if the network you are using has eSIM option, then it shouldnt be a problem bro.

Experience 16 series once with nearest showroom and that will help with the decision too.

But is waiting for 17 series gonna be worth the wait? Cuz I’m having a lot of issues in the phone that I am using

Only if your current device is working without issues then waiting will be worth bro. but XR could start showing more issues when battery health goes below 80% and if there is any other hardware failures.

So in such cases upgrading right now and as you are a long term user. dont worry about whats coming next. you are going to use the device right now and after 3 to 4 years you may upgrade to something latest and best based on upgrade needs.

Alright bro, my battery is at 75% and the status is showing as “service” so like you said I will upgrade now. Thank you so much

Do share your thoughts after upgrading to iPhone 16 pro max bro. your overall experience after one or two weeks usage.

Sure bro

Hi bro, I got my 16pro max and I’ve been using it for 2 weeks and got to say it’s a relief upgrading from xr, I can feel the difference in display, camera and definitely the battery. Thank you so much for ur help and one more question about the battery should I limit it to 80,85 or shld I just turn on optimized charging(I’m using 20w charger).

Good to know bro. Enjoy using your new iPhone. If your usage is normal or less then you may set it to 80% bro. otherwise it automatically manages the charging speed and level. just keeping charging optimization ON is enough.

I’m a heavy user bro so I will turn on optimised charging and I hope it won’t affect the battery life and is mag safe charging good? If yes is there any brand that u may recommend and for the back case I’m planning to get phonerebel gen6. If u may know about do give me a review. Thank you

It wont bro. optimized charging feature automatically manages according to your usage. just avoid draining the battery frequently to 0%. charge it around 20% to 80 or higher when needed. That will be enough.

I havent tried phonerebel cases yet bro. kindly check amazon user reviews and decide.

Welcome bro and thanks for your continuous support too.:pray:t2:

You may check with Ambrane 15W wireless charger bro. 16 models support 25W wireless charger input power but we can use 15W for reduced heating during charging and fits most people budget too.

Hi bro, I’m looking for a usb a to usb c cable for my iPhone 16 pro for my car but I’m not able to find mfi one, I’m afraid normal cables would affect my battery health, is there any cable u would recommend?

Hi bro, USB A to C or USB C to C cables dont have to be mfi certified. MFi is only for lightning cables. You can use any branded usb a to usb c cable in your car for charging purposes. Check with amazon basics or other brands.
